UmapMe - Mobile Geolocation Social Network.

UmapMe ® is a geolocation service for the Mobile Social Networks aiming to locate in real time your friends, family and colleagues via their mobile phone regardless of the mobile carrier location services, the handset features and the GPS coverage.

Independent from the mobile network operators, this service offers a real time international coverage and allows to automatically locate your "tribe" with a GPS-like accuracy and communicate with its members anywhere in the world.

This innovative system addresses the private market while respecting the individual privacy through mechanisms leaving the user in complete control with the possibility to limit or shut the service down at any time.

The UmapMe ® basic core features are:

• Real time automatic tracking with GPS support when possible or Cell Id positioning as a fallback
• Extensively configurable tracking rights definition
• Real time access to your connections’ positions
