UmapMe SAS® is a startup specialized in real-time geolocation services on mobile phones providing SAAS to professional customers through the PromapMe™ brand. In a near future, the same type of service will be proposed to the consumers’ market under the UmapMe™ brand.

The initial project concept is tied to its creators’ way of life. Each of the 3 company’s founders uses to spend a significant amount of time traveling and finally expressed the need to get tools that would allow them to keep in touch with their communities, even remotely:

Stay in touch with their close ones
Provide real time information on the current /latest business trip, making it difficult to keep on tracking
Localize your employees / colleagues in the field

Beyond the trips and as most parents do, the project founders have a tendency to try and follow their kids itineraries between house, school and their various activities

Based on these statements and their respective experiences, the UmapMe S.A.S ® founders had the idea to bring a simple and automatic answer the inevitable question “where are you?” introducing most of the mobile phones discussions.

At a time when the mobility services are growing and the social networks benefit from a growing popularity, they created a solution based on the single mobile phone usage.

However after further consideration, this concept created for a private usage has rapidly been extended to a professional usage addressing the Small and Medium Enterprises looking for a flexible and economical solution to geolocalize their mobile employees.

The project has thus been refocused on a professional usage as a priority, to be complemented by a mass market / social network approach.
